Browser Security Settings

Internet Explorer 5.0 users
To enable cookies and JavaScript, follow these steps:

  1. Select Internet Options from the Tools menu. The Internet Options dialog opens.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. Locate the Custom area of the Security tab, and click the Custom Level button. The Security Settings dialog opens.
  4. Scroll down to the Cookies section of the Settings window. To access our system properly your browser must support persistent cookies. To enable support for persistent cookies, select the Enable radio button under Allow cookies that are stored on your computer.
  5. Scroll down to the Scripting section of the Settings window. To access the DVD editing system, your browser must support JavaScript and Java. You must select the Enable radio button under Active Scripting.
  6. Click OK to close the Security Settings dialog.
  7. Click OK to close the Internet Options dialog.

Netscape Communicator users
To enable cookies and JavaScript, follow these steps:

  1. Select Preferences from the Edit menu. The Preferences dialog opens.
  2. Select Advanced in the Category window. The right pane displays a set of advanced options.
  3. In the top section of the right pane, select the Enable Java and Enable JavaScript check boxes.
  4. To access our system properly your browser must support persistent cookies. To enable support for persistent cookies, select the Accept all cookies check box.)
  5. To save your changes and close the Preferences dialog, click the OK button.

Monitor Resolution Settings
Our system works best at a 1024x768 screen resolution or higher.  This will ensure that your screen will properly display our Director's editing system.

Windows XP

  1. To change your desktop resolution, click once on your desktop with the right mouse button and select Properties from the pop-up menu.
  2. On the Display Properties window, select the Settings tab.
  3. In the area labeled Screen resolution, drag the arrow ( ) to the right until you reach at least 1024 by 768 pixels. Click OK to change your screen resolution.
  4. Depending on your computer configuration, you may be prompted to make a choice between restarting your computer, or applying the changes without restarting. It is usually safe to make the changes without restarting.

Macintosh OS X

  1. To change your screen resolution (size) in Mac OSX, click the Apple button, and select System Preferences...
  2. Select the Displays icon
  3. In the list of Resolutions: select 1024 x 768 (or higher).

Windows 2000 or 98SE

  1. Click the Start button in the lower left corner of your screen
  2. Select Settings and click Control Panel
  3. Double-click Display and select the Settings tab
  4. Adjust the control in the Desktop Area to 1024 by 768 pixels
  5. If available, press the Test button (if the screen appears blank when testing, it will return to normal in five to 15 seconds)
  6. Select OK
  7. Click OK if prompted to re-boot your computer
