But when it comes, all of your dreams are realized. Your people join in the celebration of you. In a glistening moment of tears and tradition, you shed your oneness and become something much more together. And on your honeymoon you realize that it went even better than you thought. You are at the place you always knew you'd be and it feels even better than you dreamed it would.

But your future will sometimes be a grind; a diaper-changing, bill-paying, not-enough-time-for-us existence. Some days you will forget, a little or a lot, the magic of that moment of joining. You will need a shot in the arm. Everybody does.

Time travel is possible. When romance seems replaced by routine, you can step back in time. Take out the video of that day. Cuddle up on the couch and forget that you've got an early meeting tomorrow. Remind yourself of the magic that isn't lost, just prioritized behind the day-to-day existence.
