the beautifully designed case and pop it in the player. Your DVD
menu appears on the television screen with a stunning image of that
special day. As you only have a short time to watch, you click to
the scene selections and quickly wander through menus that delineate
the events that made up that day. “The Photo Montage”
brings your past back with the traditional images of your youth.
You’ve watched the ceremony a dozen times, and tonight you
are in the mood for some fun. You navigate to the image titled “Getting
Ready” and click. You laugh out loud. Did they really get
that shot? Your playful mood grows and you have a few minutes before
bedtime so you jump back to the menu and find the selection titled
“Best Man’s Toast”. You are so glad you had this
section saved. And you are still in shock that he could possibly
say something sentimental. There’s a first for everything.
It’s time to call it a night, but as you return to the menu,
the “Father/Daughter Dance” beckons to you. You know
you shouldn’t, but you know you can’t help yourself.
And so you press the button, knowing you’ll be going to bed
with tears in your eyes tonight. |
